Right? He have had this all along but decided to not use it for whatever reason while dragging his son down to the path of vengeance. Failed parenting is running rampant in this anime.
The mom has become delusional ever since her husband died, preaching how her son should have a normal life, doesn't let the uncle train her son, and on top of that, let in a girl off the street who turned out to be a spy, in her life and adopted her.
Great bloody parenting from the both of them! If I wasn't already mad I am now.
The story would've been a hell different if she just made the decision to have Tokisada train Ittoki from a young age instead of all those gymnastics and other stuff which so far have been of no use to Ittoki in the current predicament...
It could still be salvaged if the school arc serves its actual purpose, like.. Education. The writer could just slowly introduce the conflicts while developing Ittoki when he's studying in the ninja school.
But, no. The only purpose it serves is just introducing a villain and 2 waifus. What's waste.
2 waifus...
*insert* "Are u sure about that !!!" meme... 😂
Basically that's what this is in a nutshell.
I'd have preferred if his mom and everyone apart from Kousetsu and MAYBE Tokisada lowkey wanted him dead, hence why he was never trained and everything.
This could've been like a generic action show or an anime equivalent of Power Rangers Ninja Storm, and it'd have been mich better than what we got.
The saving Kousetsu part wasn't inherently a bad thing though. Who would assume that a kid who's about 4 years old would have a bloody chip in her brain that could completely mind control her? The rest I agree with though. She did a terrible job preparing the "next chief of the village".
Even if it wasn't a bad thing, both she AND Tokisada knew Kousetsu's dad is Kido. And yet Mom just found her on the street in the cold one day and took her in as one of her own. As if that's not a red flag, even Kousetsu herself said they should've been suspicious of her.
Tokisada himself said Kido implanted chips in the kids he had with the mistresses. Between that and the girl who tried to kill Ittoki, we can assume both he (Tokisada) AND (likely) Ittoki's mom BOTH knew of this and yet let her stay anyway because of that stupid, flawed Iga policy.
Kidou is known for being a piece of shit. It wouldn't at all be a shock that he simply didn't give a shit about the kid, which is why they thought there were no risks. We can only say it was a bad move in hindsight, but think about it:
Some guy who's known to be a piece of shit, that happens to be the brother of another ninja village, who's also known to sleep around with a bunch of mistresses abandons one of the children and leaves them to die. Does that seem hard to believe? Kousetsu said they should have been suspicious because she felt guilty about what happened. And it's not like the kid wasn't being monitored. Tokisada was definitely keeping an eye on her, given the fact he didn't trust her
And Tokisada didn't know about the chips until it was revealed to him this episode by that investigator spy with the blue hair. He said as much himself. So neither him nor the mom knew
the fly on the wall is always wiser.
That video made Suzaku look like fool after that squabble with Ittoki
Apparently that's too much of a big brain moment for the writers. XD
Logic's out the freaking window.
And it's ashamed Tsubaki died too early, she needs to know Kousetsu was her half sister, and they could have live as siblings than rivals.

Am I the only getting dejavu from these scenes???
Gray scene, exact position, exact number of people. Or maybe I dreamed of this scene when I was still younger?
He would not expose the evidence because it will destroy their village Koga. That is why he is is trying to protect the village on his own device which led to him being killed.
Why was he keeping the memory card with the video evidence then?
Because most likely it was gonna be 50 shades of bad ether way for him and his clan.
The Truth Will Set You Free!!!
Well, Actually, The Truth Often Gets You Killed...
Either Way, The Truth Must be Preserved, Even if Cannot Be Used Yet.
P.S. : Suzaku's father seemed like he had actual morals/integrity. For that reason he would not want to dispose of evidence that could/would prevent «innocents» from being/getting unnecessarily killed...
I am sure he knew there was koga inside the NSC and didn't trust them that is why he hid it.
he forgor💀
100% fax...
Looks like they are trying to portray him as a goody-goody fellow who just doesn't get mad no matter what...
Bruh...
Ur mother f***ing died
She was brutally murdered and u just can't...
Dammit
Though I kinda sympathize with him regarding Mom's death
But I truly hate it when he tries to portray himself as a Ninja v.v
That being said, he is kinda moving towards something
Hopefully something will happen I guess ( Wishful thinking lol )
XD
what excatly will happen, our boy has no training
raised by a woman..this is what happens to males.
agrreed
Sexist much, huh?
his mum did not wanna let him in the ninja's world that is why she never trained him
doesn't have anything to do with being a woman
don't forget Kouda's bro who died, he has the same thinking as the ml mom's
Lol
Lmaooo this is the funniest comment I've seen this week!! Thanks my guy.
Well he is the son of a chief ninja maybe his instinct will awaken lol
who needs training when you are born into the chiefs family and have plot armor
I feel like you guys just dropped the episode midway because at the end, the mc says he's aware that he is not cut out to being a village chief but is starting to find a way to achieve something.
I don't really care for this MC that much, but what does him getting angry to the point of wanting revenge do? He was angry and saddened by her death, but there's nothing he can do about it now. She's already dead. Seeking revenge does absolutely nothing either. Look at the other kid with the red hair who hates him. Look what seeking revenge has done to him. This is one of the few times I'm on MCs side.
idk seeking revenge in this case will save more lives lmao thats like saying oh im getting jumped by 4 guys and they beat me up but instead of fighting back ill lay down so they can beat me easier
Not seeking revenge =/= sitting back and letting shit happen to you. He's obviously gonna try to protect the village. Whether or not what he'll try will work is another thing altogether. I'm not convinced he'll be able to do it without plot armor kicking in.
he is saying revenge isnt the answer. no one said about lying down and dying. Comparing apples to oranges. Getting jumped aint that bad. Getting killed is entirely different.
thats what im saying tho they knew their village was being targeted they waited they got attacked and now they want to wait again lmao while they bad guys are planning once again another attack XD bad situation to be hesitant hince the lying down (waiting ) and dying ( their people getting killed )
Imma tell you right now revenge is an answer that is voided of common sense. You kill them and their son will hate you and take on the hate and the cycle continues with him killing you, and then your son takes on the hate and the cycle never ends.
Or be like pain. Kill their relatives friends and even infants. like hanzo of the salamander was erased from history.
But he brought everyone back anyway 🤣
He feels pain
Lmao you said "fax" like a fax machine smh...
10 episodes in and he still hasn't done anything productive. Why is he the MC again?
Better question, WHY are we even here anymore?
I dropped this awhile back but still click on the episodes to read the comments. It's reassuring that I made the right choice LOL
watch, and lets suffer together
Wow, so Suzaku’s dad had actual video evidence that Kido was behind the previous Kouga head’s murder, but decided to just hide it away?
Could have used that evidence to expose Kido while he was still alive, lol…
